NTT has the industry’s largest team of master instructors – over 70 and growing – and they are experts at explaining technical course content to both novice and experienced students. They engage students at all levels and masterfully guide them through lectures and hands-on exercises so that students learn to perform the latest electrical and mechanical operations both skillfully and safely.

Mike Bahr, Director of Electrical Program Delivery

Mike Bahr has been working in the electrical field since 1974. He started out as an electrician / lineman. In 1985, Mike was involved in an electrical accident that brought home the critical importance of electrical safety. Since then, he has served in safety management positions at large corporations. He then brought his talents to the training industry and has dedicated his career to the development of electrical safety training programs and consulting for both private industry and government clients. Mike has served on the NFPA 70E committee and was also a principle investigator for the Department of Energy Electrical Safety Program. He is also a Certified Utility Safety Administrator. His long-term electrical safety experience ensures that NTT’s curriculum is world-class.

Randy Barnett, Director of Electrical Program Delivery

Randy Barnett brings an extensive technical and training background to NTT. He began his career in the nuclear submarine service where he learned the industrial electrical trade and energy principles. After working as a journeyman electrician in industrial and construction environments, Randy entered the training profession and began writing and teaching in his areas of expertise. He has advanced from electrician, to instructor and into management as a project manager and director. He supervises training programs and provides customized training solutions for industrial and institutional clients. Randy continues to write and develop training materials, is a sought-after presenter and has published two electrical trades textbooks and numerous journal articles. Randy is a Certified Energy Auditor through the Association of Energy Engineers.

Larry Lenhardt, Director of Electrical Program Delivery

Larry Lenhardt has been a lead instructor with NTT since 2000. He started his electrical career in 1962 at the Army Security Agency. He spent over thirty years working at a major Mid-West utility company and has worked for a variety of organizations throughout his career. He is actively involved in safety through the IBEW and has been appointed to several electrical committees dealing with NEC, NESC and related safety issues. He was appointed by the Governor of Wisconsin to the Committee on Free Enterprise. His is also the 2001 recipient of the Distinguished Service to Safety Award from the National Safety Council. Larry is also a published author and is certified by the judicial system as an electrical expert. Larry holds a BS in Business Management graduating Summa cum Laude. Larry has been married for 43 years to Marilyn. He has two married daughters and three grandsons. He loves to hunt and fish in his spare time.

Bob LeRoy, Director of Electrical Program Delivery

Bob LeRoy began his electrical industry career in 1972 and has traveled the path from apprentice to journeyman to master before establishing a successful contracting firm. Over the past 39 years, he’s worked in every aspect of electrical construction and generation with extensive experience in supervision, project management and inspection. Bob joined NTT in 2006 as an instructor of electrical curriculum and development. He’s conducted extensive international training for NTT’s clients. Today, Bob’s primary responsibilities are to help consolidate a client’s international activities into a singular systematic global electrical safety program that’s customized for each client’s unique needs. When not travelling and training, Bob enjoys spending time with his wife, four children and seven grandkids. He is also very active with mission and humanitarian work in Honduras helping to fund, build and maintain facilities for underprivileged children.
