Electrical Safety and Qualification
NTT has years of experience in partnering with our clients to help them qualify their electrical workers and supervisors. Our unique process builds on traditional electrical safety training and takes it to the hands-on practical application of skills required for compliance with both OSHA and NFPA 70E (2012 edition).
Assesses both knowledge and past experience so NTT’s Instructor can prepare a more tailored and focused training before we arrive at your site.
Instructor Led Hands-On Training
This is the instructor-led classroom training that NTT has been providing for many years which includes our proprietary hands-on labs. We bring full-sized mobile hands-on lab equipment to your location to ensure that each student learns on real-world equipment.
Assessor Orientation – not only will your workers learn how to do their job tasks safely, your supervisors will also learn their legal responsibility and industry best practices to evaluate and deem your workers as “Electrically Qualified Persons” using documented and defensible records. Their role as an Assessor will also be instrumental in supporting your program through the anchoring process and subsequent annual auditing and requalification.
As a mid-point to the entire training process, the post-classroom test is an initial assessment of what the student has learned and highlights deficits to be targeted through Anchoring Training.
Studies show that retention of training can be significantly increased with a follow-up booster shot. The Anchoring Training is typically scheduled for three (3) months after the classroom training to fill gaps, correct misunderstandings, and “anchor” the correct safety behavior.
