This group of modules meticulously examines the importance of and procedures required to insure workplace safety. Each module in this competency group builds on the one before it, giving you confidence as you develop your knowledge in a way that is logical and intuitive.

Introduction to Safety

Upon completion of this module, you will be able to describe the role of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and list both employee and employer rights under OSHA (Estimated completion time: 1.1 hours).

Making Work a Safer Place

This module outlines the job hazard analysis process. Upon completion, you will be able to understand each step of an OSHA inspection, different types of citations and penalties, where to find additional safety information, and how to prevent workplace violence and spot substance abuse issues (Estimated completion time: 1.6 hours).

Help! What to do in an Emergency

Upon completion of this module, you will be able to develop and emergency action plan, know where to find first aid training, and how to control your exposure to pathogens (Estimated completion time: 1.2 hours).

Personal Protective Equipment Safety

Eye and Face Protection
